Doug Dean named in WME Leaders List
Doug Dean Managing Director of Veolia Environmental Services Australia has been named as one of Australia's leading environmental innovators in the 2007 WME Leaders List. The list was devised to acknoweldge the foremost leaders of environmental and corporate sustainability.
From over 50 nominees, Doug Dean was chosen as part of the top 10 leaders in Australia, taking out top place in the Resources and Waste category and deemed 'The eternal pragmatist'.
Doug Dean is the longest serving CEO in the Waste industry within Australia and has helped to steer the entire industry towards holistic thinking and long term sustainability. He is also the Chair of the Barton's Groups Resource Recovery taskforce and it is has long been his leadership in striving for better resource recovery within Australia that has set him apart.
Joining him in the Leaders List;; Ian Kiernan, founder Clean Up Australia; Maria Atkinson, Global head of Sustainability Lend Lease;and Bob Welsh, CEO VicSuper.
