Environmental Officer
Location: Rocklea, QLD
Category: Permanent Full-Time
The successful candidate for the position shall conduct environmental monitoring, compliance and management for all operations within Resource Recovery Services.
Key responsibilities include:
- Undertaking environmental monitoring at relevant sites in accordance with internal and external guidelines
- Monitoring changes or developments in relevant legislation, regulations and standards and implement initiatives to address and ensure company conformance with these changes
- Supporting management in undertaking formal environmental risk assessments in conjunction with site managers
- Supporting management in undertaking formal WH&S risk assessments
- Supporting business units in the development and implementatio of environmental management plans, procedures and systems
- Supporting management in developing audit schedules, conducting audits and ensuring non-conformances are identified and addressed

A degree in Environmental Science or equivalent is essential, however sound and proven practical experience will also be strongly considered. Certificate III in Waste Management and Hydrogeology management would be desirable.
